The Ojai Wine Festival serves as the primary annual fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Ojai-West Foundation, supporting community service and philanthropic programs locally and internationally.
Consortium Media was brought in to increase thefestival’s visibility, strengthen its brand, grow attendance and ticket sales, and ultimately help Rotary generate greater support for its charitable work.
Consortium Media developed and managed an integrated promotional strategy connecting the festival’s visual identity with the audiences most likely to attend.
Rather than relying on a single advertising channel, CM connected brand creative, public relations, social media, targeted digital advertising, traditional media, influencer partnerships, promotions, and ticket messaging into a coordinated event-marketing campaign.
The campaign has included:
🎨 Brand Image & Creative Development
📰 Public Relations &Targeted Press Outreach
📱 Social Media Marketing
📍 CM+ GEO ALGO™ TargetedAdvertising
📻 Radio Promotion
📣 Strategic Media Buying
🤝 Influencer Outreach &Partnerships
🎟️ Event & Ticket Promotion
CM also partnered with lifestyle, wine, and food influencers to extend festival coverage beyond traditional advertising and introduce the event to new audiences.
Over the course of the partnership, the festival grew from approximately 500 attendees to 3,500 attendees—the event’s maximum capacity.
As the partnership continued, Consortium Media evolved the campaign with new media opportunities, audience targeting, promotions, social content, and earned-media outreach designed to keep the annual event visible and relevant.
Recent campaigns demonstrate that continued momentum.
In 2024, CM+ GEO ALGO™ advertising generated 801,547 impressions and 13,713 link clicks, while reaching 372,890 people.
In 2025, targeted advertising generated nearly 1.4 million impressions and 58,933 link clicks, while boosted Facebook and Instagram content generated millions of additional views. Earned media coverage contributed another $37,200 in value, while giveaways and negotiated media partnerships expanded the festival’s promotional footprint.
In 2026, CM+ GEO ALGO™ advertising generated 944,913 impressions, reached 606,853 people, and drove 37,379 link clicks.
The campaign also translated into ticket activity. As of May 21, 2026, the festival had sold 910 tickets compared with 839 at the same point in 2025, putting sales approximately 8.5% ahead year over year.
When COVID-19 restrictions made holding the festival unsafe, CM’s role shifted from event promotion to sensitive public communication.
After months of event marketing and ticket sales, the team developed cancellation messaging and creative designed to clearly communicate the change while protecting the reputation and positive community identity Rotary had built around the festival.
The ability to shift from promotion to crisis communication helped preserve the brand and its relationship with the community until the annual event could return.

For the Ojai Wine Festival, selling tickets means morethan filling an event.
By connecting creative, public relations, social media, targeted digital advertising, traditional media, promotions, and influencer outreach, Consortium Media helped transform the festival from an event attracting approximately 500 attendees into a signature community tradition reaching its 3,500-attendee capacity.
Years into the partnership, CM continues to evolve the campaign, generating millions of digital impressions, hundreds of thousands of dollars in earned media value, and measurable ticket-sales growth while helping Rotary promote an event whose proceeds support community service projects at home and abroad.
